The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Table

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a diverse cast of heroes, and a thrilling plot featuring celestial beings, demons, and malevolent powers expanding in influence within the urban setting.

Warning: Key plot points for the latest installment of Campaign 4 are included.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

The latest chapter concluded with a dramatic pause and revealed the premier party of adventurers who will branch out from the main group to embark on their independent quest, apart from the additional parties.

This warrior group includes Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

With 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that keeping everyone at one table would be unworkable.

Hence, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, weaving together the personal journeys before splitting into three separate parties: Warriors, Planners, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

As described by the DM, the combat-focused party is for participants who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented gameplay experience where diplomatic options are few and far between.

Initially, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might appear out of place, but the events of the latest installment show why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the group understands precisely where to go next after a violent first encounter with the enemy group.

Casimir of Thjazi—whose demise kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated the enemy for his selfish purposes, invading the hidden lair, assaulting the rogue, and taking all the magical artifacts to auction.

Casimir then cleared his obligations and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, north of the city, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each adventurer has a individual motive to depart the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as the companion and trusted friend, wants revenge.
  • The adventurer is familiar with the northern area and cautions that it is a nasty place.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having defied his relatives’ demands to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their position as prominent individuals in the influential clan could help the group access places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to The savior for his rescue and will now accompany him wherever.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are sought by the powers that control the city for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind too risky:

  • The rogue and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The cleric turned against House Halovar and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This leaves them little choice but to journey toward the remote area in search of the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

Based on the recent installment’s follow-up content, we learn that the Soldiers table won’t be around next week, leaving the other eight players to assemble the Questers and Planners tables.

Viewers can expect finding out which adventurers will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on next week.
